Nikolaus Grefe is the Practice Group Leader for AI & Data at Intapp. He became part of the company through the acquisition of delphai, a Berlin-based AI and data company he played a key role in building alongside Dr. Robin Tech.

He joined delphai at the seed stage as a Data Scientist and was central to building the company’s AI system. He later established and led the sales team, driving growth and securing a successful Series A funding round in 2023, before partnering with Intapp in April 2024.

delphai became a pioneer in applying AI to aggregate, process, and integrate firmographic data. The company also developed a natural language search interface for M&A deal sourcing. Its next generation is built into DealCloud and called Assist Origination—combining premium partner data and proprietary intelligence to deliver a fully integrated product that is unique in the market.

Nikolaus holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Freiburg and a master’s degree in Statistics from Humboldt University of Berlin.
